Things to see & do - What's on
In addition to the traditional summer entertainment of the Course Landaise (a type of bull-fighting but with wild cows in which the animals are not harmed), there are games of basque pelote and traditional markets offering regional produce. Seignanx also offers entertainment out of season, for example the Festi'Mai, which will enable you to discover professional artists of dance, song, music and theatre, « Garden Meetings » (1st week-end of June) or « Heritage days » (3rd week-end of September).
In village fêtes, get to know the locals, who will happily serve you traditional dishes of the South-west and enjoy the warm atmosphere generated by the local people. Finally, Seignanx is ideally located for you to take part in city-based events such as the famous Fêtes de Bayonne (courtesy buses night and day) and international surfing competitions in Biarritz and Hossegor.
